Cross-Strait Disagreement over Missile Removal

A well-intentioned remark on missile removal made by a spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of PRC was maliciously misinterpreted by the Taiwan authority, leading to a disagreement across the straits. This is the  first standoff between both sides since Ma Ying-jeou took office, implying a fragile cross-straits relationship and mutual trust, which requires joint efforts from both sides.
