One of the highlight of the Institute in 2005 was jointly sponsoring in December “the China’s Peaceful Rise and Sino-European Relations” forum and other related seminars in France, the Netherlands,Spain and the UK in cooperation with the China Reform Forum (CRF) and the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI). The Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao who was visiting France then met with Chinese and European scholars attending the forum in Paris on December 6.
