Chinese Writers Slam Baidu for Copyright Infringement-A Turning Point in the Internet Culture Development

Internet era is a time for network sharing. A phenomenon now exists is that cultural products supposed to be shared online didn’t reach out to enough end users while private cultural products, which are not supposed to be transmitted on the cyber space can be downloaded for free. The China Written Works Copyright Society, in coalition with a group of authors, had filed an appeal against Baidu so as to protect copyrighted works. Major portals should take this opportunity to reflect on their copyright violation incidents during the course of website development and increase their knowledge on copyright protection.
