Implication behind North Korea’s Massive Military Parade

North Korea celebrated the 65th anniversary of the Worker’s Party with a massive military parade and demonstrated to the world its military force and strategic intention, adding more unstable factors to 2010.

With old-fashioned T-55 tanks to Musudan-ri Missile marching on the pavement, North Korea was signaling its indomitable courage and determination of fighting provocation to the international community, as well as its confidence in winning military confrontation with other countries to its people.

Based on the current situation, it’s likely that Korean Peninsula is stepping into a stage of rising tension and mutual suspicion. Against the backdrop of US’s containment strategy towards China, Northeast Asia is experiencing a highly unstable period with tightened connection between US and South Korea, and North Korea’s active political and military action.
